HOW & WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Having a multiracial child, my son's hair has been an adventure since the beginning.  I researched what to put on it, how to put it on, how to style it, and take care of it. Some days it was easy and others quite challenging, as I was unsuccessful in achieving the right balance.  Either no product worked consistently, or his hair constantly changed.

The harmful chemicals and other ingredients that are incorporated in our daily lives without our knowledge has been frightening, puzzling, and, ultimately, life changing.  My search for natural ingredients and alternative products is where Mercer Douglas Artisan Essentials began.  I created an all-natural lotion, which doubled as a hair product for him, as well as body creams, lip conditioners, detangler, and toothpaste.  We are both healthy and free from most chemicals. 

 

Through the years, I have given many of my products away to family and friends only to have them come back wanting more after experiencing the true difference, and I want to be able to help others enjoy the benefits of luxurious skin, healthy lips, clean teeth and more without unnecessary, harsh, dangerous, and unhealthy ingredients.
